Meghri Hunters Take Down 17 Saboteurs in the Forests: Arzruni Hovhannisyan
During a discussion on the theme of “Economy in Times of War”, Ministry of Defense representative Arzruni Hovhannisyan talked about directions that could be interesting both from a business perspective and as support for the army if necessary.
Hovhannisyan specifically discussed aerial devices, covering all types, from the smallest drones to the largest UAVs and even combat aircraft. “It is a very promising sector. In Armenia, it is still almost underdeveloped; the tourism of small sports aircraft is in a zero state. In the past, there were issues related to air regulations, but those laws have now been overcome. Some of my partners have already brought several small aircraft before the war,” he stated.
He also spoke about off-roading, noting that he himself is involved in it. “As a result, we will know the terrain, it will contribute to tourism, promote a healthy lifestyle, and form a strategic resource,” Hovhannisyan added.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that in the event of a need to find alternative routes for avoiding bombardment, the best specialists would be precisely those who have conducted off-roading tours and can drive with their eyes closed.
Hunting was also discussed, highlighting that in regions where hunting was well-developed, strong fights had taken place. “Before my eyes, Meghri hunters took down 17 saboteurs in the gorge. This happened because these saboteurs had entered their home, their hunting area, and literally became their prey,” he noted.
