Azerbaijani Army's Morale is Experiencing Significant Decline: 'Fact'

“In the diplomatic arena, our victories will be the first argument from the Armenian side,” stated military expert Haik Nahapetyan in an interview with the ‘Fact’ newspaper. According to him, the enemy forces had a plan to occupy and ethnically cleanse all of Artsakh within a week, which means a blitzkrieg that ultimately failed.

Regarding the current situation, Nahapetyan believes that at this point, the enemy is merely trying to secure ‘victorious’ outcomes based on numerical superiority. However, once they engage in combat operations under mountainous and foothill conditions, they encounter a different reality.

“In those regions, with much fewer forces, a very good defense can be organized, as well as counterattacks at local levels. Essentially, this is what our forces are currently doing. Furthermore, through their strategic actions, Armenian forces are trapping the enemy, and examples of this are already known. Overall, positional battles are taking place today, and the adversary is gradually being worn down.”

In this context, let’s also consider the morale of their personnel, which is gradually declining. The troops were promised a lightning strike victory within a week, which hasn’t materialized or become a reality,” Nahapetyan said.
