Death Toll from Earthquake in Turkey Reaches 24
The death toll from the earthquake in Izmir, Turkey, has reached 24. Reports indicate that more than 800 people have been injured, according to TACC agency, citing Anadolu.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with 70 individuals successfully pulled from the rubble.
Earlier, it was reported that an earthquake measuring 6.8 to 7.0 on the Richter scale struck the western part of Turkey. The epicenter was located in the Seferihisar region of Izmir Province, with a depth of 16.5 kilometers.
