Russia's Security Council Secretary Warns of Increasing Activity of Extremist Islamists
The Secretary of Russia's Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, has warned about the increasing activity of extremist Islamists within the country, according to RIA Novosti.
Analysts note that there are still national security threats related to the activities and influence of extremist Islamists, particularly in the recruitment of non-Muslim youth, Patrushev stated.
According to the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, there is a noticeable increase in the number of teenagers participating in radical movements. The agency's data shows that the number of teenagers on social networks has already exceeded 70,000. This is leading to the formation of criminal groups, Patrushev added.
