French Consulate in Switzerland Blocked Due to Suspicious Package

In Zurich, Switzerland, the police have blocked the French consulate after a suspicious package was discovered right at the entrance of the building. This was reported by Shantnews.

“According to the police report, around 9:30 AM, a woman approached a security staff member and placed a polyethylene bag right at the entrance of the French consulate. Due to the current situation in France and recent events, emergency services promptly cordoned off the area,” the statement from the Swiss police was published by the RIA Novosti agency.

In France, a series of attacks began after an 18-year-old terrorist beheaded a history teacher who had shown students caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that were published in Charlie Hebdo five years ago. Following this heinous crime, French President Emmanuel Macron warned that an active fight would begin against the “ideology of radical Islamists” and their supporters in the country.
