VIDEO: Footage of Man Shot Dead After Knife Attack on Police in Avignon Released

Footage has been released showing the shooting of a man who attacked police with a knife in the French city of Avignon.

It is reported that around 11:15 AM local time, a man armed with a knife shouted "Allahu Akbar" and attempted to stab the officers.

Earlier, a stabbing incident in Nice, France, resulted in the deaths of three people, one of whom was beheaded according to police reports. The mayor of Nice described the incident as "Islamic fascism" and stated that it resembled a terrorist attack.
