Trump Congratulates Agreement on Humanitarian Ceasefire

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has congratulated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of the Republic of Armenia and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the occasion of reaching an agreement on a humanitarian ceasefire, stating that the leaders of the two countries have agreed to adhere to the ceasefire terms that were established shortly before midnight. Trump shared this news on his Twitter account.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, who just agreed to adhere to the ceasefire regime established at midnight. Many lives will be saved. I am proud of my team—Secretary Pompeo, Steve Biegun, and the National Security Council—to make this happen,” Trump wrote.
