Peskov Comments on US Statement Regarding Ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh

The spokesperson of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the US statement regarding the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh, stating that the conflict should not become a venue for competition.

Yesterday, the United States announced a ceasefire regime in the conflict zone, following negotiations in Washington.

"The process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is in a sharp phase, should not become a venue for competition," Peskov said in response to a question about whether the Kremlin believes that the US has succeeded in doing more than Russia.

"Naturally, Russia, as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, is ready to welcome any steps that help to stop the war," he added.
