Azerbaijani Side Prevents Engagement in Prisoner Exchange Issues: Vahram Poghosyan
“The Azerbaijani side has breached the latest ceasefire agreement primarily in the southeastern direction. At this moment, the adversary is employing various methods, including diversionary operations and offensive measures, and is utilizing artillery such as ‘Smerch’ systems and aviation,” said Vahram Poghosyan, the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh, in a recent interview with Factinfo. He added that Martuni city has been under attack since the morning, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
Speaking about the fate of the Armenian prisoners and the information regarding them, Vahram Poghosyan noted that as long as hostilities continue, he cannot provide any information about the prisoners. “I can only say that regarding this issue, we are willing to work fully with the Red Cross, but unfortunately, the Azerbaijani side does not provide us with such an opportunity, not adhering to the ceasefire regime, and essentially not allowing us to engage in the prisoner exchange and related matters,” the spokesperson communicated during the conversation with Factinfo.
