Artsakh's People Are Already Used to Such a Situation; There's No Panic, No Fear—Only Disappointment: Davit Babayan

In Stepanakert, it is anticipated that the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled for October 29 in Geneva will create an opportunity for the resumption of the political process. This was stated by Davit Babayan, the foreign affairs advisor to the President of the Artsakh Republic, in an interview with Armenpress.

He emphasized that while the recognition of independence is not an easily solvable issue, one thing is clear: Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan.

Babayan highlighted that the United States had made mediatory efforts for the third time in the process of establishing a ceasefire, and President Donald Trump had made special emphasis on the resolution process. According to Babayan, Turkey and Azerbaijan’s disregard for Trump’s statements would deal a significant blow to the U.S. president ahead of the presidential elections.

Speaking about the moods of the citizens in Artsakh, Babayan noted that the local people are already accustomed to such situations; there is no panic, no fear. “There is disappointment that the world is not active, but at the same time, there is enthusiasm regarding our army, our people, and the conduct of our friendly countries,” he stated.
