Flower Prices Decrease by 2-2.5 Times, Says Competition Body

The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of Armenia continues inspections in wholesale and retail flower trade points in Yerevan, in collaboration with the State Revenue Committee and the Police of Armenia.

During the inspections, significant price reductions were recorded in two wholesale flower markets operating in Yerevan (the area of Hrazdan Stadium and the Charbakh Flower Market). Prices in the flower market have decreased by 2-2.5 times; for example, the price of carnations has dropped to 20-50 drams from the previous 100 drams.

At the suggestion of the State Commission, price tags have also been posted in wholesale and retail flower points. The Commission also informs that daily stringent monitoring is being carried out in both wholesale markets and retail trade points.
