VIDEO: Sevak Avanesyan Played at the Upper Mosque of Shushi

Belgian-Armenian musician Sevak Avanesyan performed at the Upper Mosque of Shushi. The musician, whose cello sounds recently resonated in the bombed St. Amenaprgich Ghazanchetsots Cathedral of Shushi, stated that culture knows no boundaries.

“I am happy to be at an Iranian mosque that has recently been reconstructed. It shows how Armenians appreciate art, regardless of religion. We are currently fighting against Islamist terrorists, yet we are best preserving the Islamic mosque,” Sevak Avanesyan said in an interview with i24.

He performed Kian Soltani's piece “Persian Fire Dance.”
