VIDEO: Armenian Anthem in Front of the US Congress

In Washington, the Armenian community is holding a protest in front of the US Congress, demanding sanctions against Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The protest was organized by the Washington branch of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) 'Ani'.

Recall that on September 27, Azerbaijan's military launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting the civilian population as well.

As of October 15, the Artsakh Defense Forces have downed 16 helicopters, 20 planes, 180 drones, 546 units of armored vehicles, primarily tanks, 86 vehicles, 10 APCs, 4 TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, 4 Smerch systems, and 1 Uragan type multiple rocket launcher. The adversary has over 5,839 casualties.

On the Armenian side, preliminary data indicates 604 casualties.

Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik, 32 civilians in Artsakh, and injuries to 106 civilians. Preliminary data shows serious damage to over 6,700 private properties, more than 640 vehicles, and around 1,110 infrastructure, public, and industrial facilities.

Due to the shelling by Azerbaijani forces, journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured.

A state of war was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27. A ceasefire came into effect on October 10 at 12:00, but Azerbaijani forces conducted diversionary actions and shelled civilian areas in Artsakh after the ceasefire.
