Rise in Coronavirus Cases in Armenia Reaches 113 Percent
Recently, there has been an increase in coronavirus cases. Romella Abovyan, head of the Epidemiology Department of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, stated this at a press conference.
“I must mention that over the last 14 days, this increase has reached almost 113 percent. The reasons are clear to all of us. Due to the state of emergency, our population's attention has turned to the external enemy, but we should not forget that we have an invisible enemy that is weakening us from behind. Naturally, it is clear that the registration of these figures is the result of not adhering to the anti-epidemic regulations,” said Abovyan.
The epidemiologist urged the public to follow three simple rules: wear masks, disinfect hands, and maintain social distance. “There are three rules that we can follow to directly prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” Abovyan added.
