VIDEO: Unrest is Brewing in Azerbaijan
The authorities in Baku are extremely concerned about the daily growing anti-government actions among the population. According to a reporter from TolishMedia, reliable information indicates that the ruling regime has already begun preparations to prevent potential upcoming protests, particularly with police and internal troops operating in an enhanced mode. Significant supplies of technical means to disperse gatherings have already been delivered to the police, including armored special vehicles, water cannons, tear gas, mortar shells, and traumatic cartridges with rubber or plastic bullets.
The public is dissatisfied with the course of military operations, and news regarding the ceasefire agreement is perceived as a failure of the military campaign. It has emerged that the number of casualties among military personnel is significantly higher than what the public expected. The exchange of bodies could expose Ilham Aliyev's lie about the Azerbaijani side suffering incomparably fewer losses than the Armenians.
Users in the Azerbaijani segment of social media have begun calling each other to unite and express their discontent at protests. A large influx of people is expected to flow into Baku from Ganja, Tertər, Bardar, Gəramba, and various regions of the country to hold demonstrations there. The authorities are well aware that once the real number of casualties is published, it will be nearly impossible to manage the wave of protests. To buy time, the authorities may continue military operations, blaming the Armenian side for provocative actions that breach the ceasefire agreements.
