This is an attempt to erase history, an attack on culture, human rights, and humanity: Tigran Hamasyan

World-renowned jazz musician Tigran Hamasyan presented the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression in Artsakh on his Facebook page. He published photos of the Church of Saint Savior Ghazirchetsots in Shushi that was damaged due to Azerbaijani strikes yesterday (1868).

"This is yet another attempt at cultural cleansing, regrettably not the first. This church is part of a long list of churches and monasteries in Artsakh," he wrote, urging followers to spread the photos and inform their friends and family about the ongoing situation.

He noted that other ancient and medieval monasteries in Artsakh, as well as Tigranocerta, which was built over 2000 years ago, are also under direct threat of destruction. He also called for watching videos about the destruction of Armenian medieval monuments in Jugha and Nakhichevan.

"This is an attempt to erase history, an attack on culture, human rights, and humanity. This is an attack on everything that makes us human," wrote Hamasyan, calling for donations.

As reported earlier, Tigran Hamasyan has organized a fundraising campaign for Artsakh.
