20 Children Hospitalized Due to Acute Intestinal Infection in Stepanavan

On October 6, an emergency incident occurred in the Lori region. At around 22:30, the Stepanavan Medical Center notified the police of the Stepanavan division that numerous citizens, including children, had been admitted on the same day at around 19:40 with a diagnosis of "acute intestinal infection."

According to Shamshyan.com, operational groups from the Stepanavan and Tashir police divisions, led by inspectors from the juvenile affairs departments, were dispatched to the hospital. The police found that the children admitted were residents of the village of Katnarat. The affected children included 2-year-old Tigran B., 6-year-old Nadezhda K., 5-year-old Marianna K., 6-year-old Victoria K., 5-year-old Arina M., 12-year-old Alisa N., 9-year-old Robert M., 10-year-old Greta V., 7-year-old Esther V., 7-year-old Elen V., 11-year-old Elina P., 3-year-old Hrayr M., 4-year-old Alina A., 18-year-old Henrik A., 14-year-old Arpine H., 5-year-old Mari M., 9-year-old Milena A., 6-year-old Elen A., 11-year-old Erik M., and 10-year-old Mari M.

According to G. Shamshyan, preliminary information suggests that these individuals contracted the acute intestinal infection after consuming water from faucets in their yards between October 5 and 6. The Tashir police division's investigation department is preparing materials regarding the incident.
