Earthquake 17 km Northeast of Ashotzk Village
On October 5, at 23:10 local time (19:10 Greenwich Mean Time), an earthquake was registered by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, located at geographical coordinates 41.16⁰ North latitude and 44.07⁰ East longitude, in the border zone between Armenia and Georgia, 17 km northeast of Ashotzk village in Shirak Province, with a depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 2.8.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area was recorded at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Syunashogh, Metsavan, and Paghakhbyur in Lori Province with an intensity of 2-3 points.
