Video: We Will Win, We Have Much to Do, Let's Finish Quickly and Return – The Boys Have Responded to the Call to Arms
“We will win, we have much to do, let’s finish quickly and return.” The boys have responded to the call to arms. This was stated in a video released by the Government of Armenia.
“Boys, the homeland needs you,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared during a Facebook live stream, addressing our soldiers who have been discharged in the last year.
The Prime Minister announced that those who have been discharged in the past year are not subject to conscription. “They are practically our most combat-ready mobilization resource, and the issue is that today the homeland needs these people. My call is for our discharged boys to report to the central gathering point and enlist in the Armenian army,” he said, reiterating his statement that this is not just an issue of Nagorno-Karabakh but a continuation of the policy of the Armenian Genocide, emphasizing the need to protect the people from genocide.
“If we do not stand up, we will all be subjected to genocide. Today, an Armenian citizen is not a traveler of Deir ez-Zor and must be able to defend themselves,” Pashinyan remarked.
“I want to invite you and sincerely say that they are not being called to simply carry out combat duty or service; they are being invited to fight for the homeland in a life-and-death struggle,” he added, mentioning that those who have military clothing should present themselves in it.
