Stepanakert Again Under Shelling: Tigran Avinyan

Stepanakert is once again under shelling. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, who added that we have been so aggressive that they don't relax.

It is important to note that combat operations continue along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict zone. Fierce battles are taking place in the northern and southern directions. The enemy is continuously attempting to launch attacks, which are thwarted due to the decisive actions of the Armenian Armed Forces.

The Armenian Defense Army reports that the Azerbaijani claims regarding the control of Mataghis are not true. Video footage showing the destruction of the enemy's convoy occurs on the road leading to Mataghis.

It is noteworthy that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting also civilian populations. As of October 3, the Artsakh defense forces have destroyed 14 helicopters, 14 airplanes, 123 unmanned aerial vehicles, 355 units of armored vehicles, mainly tanks, 82 transport vehicles, 10 armored personnel carriers, one “TOS-1A” heavy flamethrower system, 4 “Smerch” and 1 “Uragan” multiple launch rocket systems.

The enemy has suffered more than 2,745 casualties and over 4,570 injured. On the Armenian side, preliminary data indicate that there are 209 fatalities and more than 200 injuries.

The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik and 11 in Artsakh.

Journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured due to the Azerbaijani artillery shelling. A state of martial law was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27.
