Russian singer Yulia Chicherina, who was in Artsakh and had been unreachable by her friends, has finally reestablished contact. In a video posted on YouTube, the singer recounts her experience in one of the villages of Artsakh, where drones opened fire on residents.

“I feel very good, I am not injured. I don’t know the name of the place where the incident occurred. It was a small village. I think we had already crossed the border and were in Karabakh. They were firing from drones, shooting at the bridge, even at elderly people. There was an air raid alert. The cars stopped, there was no place to hide, and we sheltered in some enclosed space. I saw how the elderly and children were hiding. A cat saved me. I saw how calm it was sitting, I approached the cat and sat near it,” the singer admitted, adding that she went to Artsakh to perform.

Hours earlier, Semen Pegov, the author of WarGonzo, wrote on his Telegram channel that he could not establish contact with the singer, noting that Chicherina found herself under the fire of Azerbaijani drones. “During our conversation, she was in a safe place, in a bomb shelter. She was online just a few minutes ago, but is not answering calls now,” emphasized Semen Pegov.
