The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh Issues a Call to Indigenous Peoples of Azerbaijan

The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a call to the indigenous peoples of Azerbaijan, stating:

“In order to avoid being sacrificed to the whims of the authorities in Baku, we urge the indigenous peoples of Azerbaijan—Lezgins, Tals, Avars, Tatis, Udins, Tsakhurs, Ingiloys, Rutuls, the ethnic groups of Shahdag, and Kurds—who are on the brink of assimilation. By all possible means, we urge you to avoid conscription, going to the front lines, and participating in military aggression against the people of Artsakh, including trying to leave the territory of Azerbaijan. Those who do not wish to participate in aggression against Artsakh and have left Azerbaijan will be provided with appropriate assistance by relevant organizations of the Armenian diaspora in other countries.”
