Regional Hospital Transformed into Rear Hospital in Just Hours: Deputy Minister

From the very first hours of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Health and the entire healthcare system have devoted themselves to serving the defenders of our homeland. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health Artyom Smbatyan on his Facebook page.

He specifically mentioned: “Thus, on the morning of September 27, the system for evacuating the wounded was launched in the relevant border areas of the Republic of Armenia, including the placement of medical organizations and dozens of ambulances in the Republic of Artsakh. This enabled the unprecedented speed and efficiency in transporting numerous injured individuals to various medical institutions in the capital and other locations.”

“To date, hundreds of doctors, guided by the Ministry of Health, have gone to the frontline and other hospitals to serve the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people. Hundreds of doctors are currently on standby and are literally waiting impatiently for the corresponding instructions to go to the frontline and provide their services there.”

“On September 27, the leadership of the Ministry of Health personnel traveled to the Republic of Artsakh and the relevant evacuation sites to coordinate medical assistance, care, and evacuation operations for the wounded on the ground. All the aforementioned locations have been supplied with necessary medications, medical supplies, and medical equipment.”

“All hospitals located in Yerevan have been receiving the wounded since the very first day, providing them with quality medical assistance. Today, in just a few hours, one of the regional hospitals was transformed into a rear hospital by the Ministry of Health. This transformation was carried out in close cooperation with the relevant regional administration and the Ministry of Defense.”

“In just 4 hours, a scheme was established for transferring from the relevant direction to the rear hospital and further discharge. The transformed hospital has been equipped with necessary medications and medical supplies, and the patient flows of civilian patients and the injured have been separated, ensuring the safety of the institution with the help of police forces.”

“The rear hospital has been supplemented with additional ambulances. It is already operational and serving our heroes. The blood component supply service is functioning smoothly. All departments, including the Ministry of Defense and regional administrations, are doing everything possible around the clock to save the defenders of the homeland.”

“Soldier! Your rear is stronger and more solid than ever. You serve the Homeland, we serve you,” he wrote.
