Le Monde Journalists Undergo Surgery, Will Be Transferred from Stepanakert to Yerevan

Today, on October 1, two journalists from the French publication Le Monde, who were injured by Azerbaijani shelling in Martuni, underwent surgery thanks to the efforts of Artsakh doctors, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh.

The condition of journalist Alen Kavali is assessed as severely unstable, while Raphael Yagobzade's condition is considered moderately serious.

The government of the Republic of Artsakh will facilitate the transfer of the injured journalists from Stepanakert to Yerevan. Communication regarding this matter is established with the French embassy in Armenia.

It is worth noting that due to Azerbaijani aggression in Artsakh, several journalists have been injured, including those from Le Monde, the deputy editor-in-chief of Dozhd, a cameraman from Armenia TV, a journalist from 24News, and reporters from the international news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP). A five-member filming crew from CivilNet has also come under Grad artillery fire.
