The Transfer of Militants to Artsakh is a Threat to the Region: Russian Foreign Ministry
The Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of Press and Information has issued a statement regarding the transfer of foreign mercenaries to the Artsakh conflict zone.
"Reports are emerging that illegal armed groups are transporting militants to the Artsakh conflict zone. In particular, militants are being transferred from Syria and Libya for the purpose of actively participating in hostilities.
We are deeply concerned about these developments, which are leading to further escalation in the conflict zone and, furthermore, pose a long-term threat to the security of all countries in the region. We call on the leaders of the interested states to take effective measures to exclude the involvement of foreign terrorists and mercenaries in this conflict and to ensure their immediate withdrawal from the region," the statement reads.
