Seda Aznavour Shows Support for Armenians Heading to the Frontlines
The world-renowned French-Armenian singer, Charles Aznavour's daughter, Seda Aznavour, has expressed her support for Armenians heading to the frontlines on her Facebook page. “The police and military of Armenia are uniting. The morale is high. We are all with them in spirit, and may God protect them,” Seda Aznavour wrote.
On the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan began active shelling along the entire length of the contact line with Artsakh. Civilian areas have also been shelled, including the capital Stepanakert. As a result of Azerbaijan's attack, 4 civilians have died, including 2 children, 1 woman, and 1 man.
Azerbaijan has shelled military and civilian infrastructure in Vardenis, resulting in the death of 1 civilian. A civilian bus was set ablaze by an enemy drone strike.
The Armenian side reports 83 fatalities and around 120 injuries of varying severity. A state of emergency and general mobilization have been declared in the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh.
In the wake of Azerbaijan's operations in the direction of Artsakh, confirmed information indicates numerous human losses on the enemy side. The Armenian forces have destroyed 50 drones, 6 helicopters, 85 armored vehicles, 1 aircraft, and 82 vehicles. On September 29, the Defense Army announced that Azerbaijan had lost an additional 11 drones, including attack drones, 1 engineering vehicle, 4 BTR-82 armored personnel carriers, and 5 tanks.
While carrying out combat missions during anti-air and aerial battles, an F-16 multifunctional fighter jet of the Turkish Air Force shot down an Armenian Air Force Su-25 attack aircraft in Armenian airspace. Unfortunately, the pilot heroically lost his life.
