Pashinyan Has Not Discussed Potential Russian Involvement in Military Operations with Putin

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia has stated that he did not discuss the potential involvement of President Vladimir Putin of Russia in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Pashinyan made this comment during an interview with several Russian media outlets. "Armenia wishes to build qualitatively new relations with Russia," he was quoted by TASS, according to reports from Armenpress.

On the morning of September 27, Azerbaijan began active shelling along the contact line with Artsakh, and subsequently unleashed aggression against the Republic of Armenia on September 29. Civilian areas and schools, including the capital Stepanakert, have been shelled in Artsakh.
