He Continued the Incomplete Work of My Grandfathers: The Mother of Fallen Hero Pilot Valeri Danielian
Valeri was a military pilot, well-trained, a devoted son of the homeland. On September 29, after completing a combat mission, the fallen pilot Valeri Danielian was discussed by his commander, Armen Nikoghosyan, in an interview for the Armenian Ministry of Defense's 'Zinuzh' program.
According to his mother, Rita Vardanyan, Valeri had dreamed of becoming a pilot since childhood. 'Days without flights were ordinary, meaningless days for him, but when he had a flight, it was as if the world belonged to him. When he came home, he would proudly say, 'I had two flights today,'' recounted the mother of the heroic pilot.
'He continued the unfinished work of my grandfathers. He fell, but he completed his mission,' said his father, Misha Danielian. The mother added that at the beginning of the combat operations, her son told them he was not afraid of anything. 'He said, 'I will go and fulfill my duty; I am not afraid of anything. My son was not afraid of anything.'
After fulfilling his combat mission, the SU-25 attack aircraft was shot down, resulting in the death of Major Valeri Danielian.
