Due to Azerbaijani Drones, We Were Forced to Halt Fact-Finding Activities: Armenian Ombudsman

Today, we were in the cities of Vardenis and the villages of Sotk, Shatvan, Kut, and others in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia for fact-finding activities in connection to the Azerbaijani air and artillery attacks targeting civilian settlements. This was reported by the Armenian Ombudsman.

We were forced to halt our work due to Azerbaijani drones.

It is worth noting that on September 27, Azerbaijan's armed forces launched a large-scale assault in Artsakh, also targeting the civilian population.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the death of 1 civilian in the Vardenis area, 3 people in Martakert, and 2 individuals in the city of Martuni (a grandmother and her grandson).

A state of war was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27.
