Azerbaijan as an Independent State No Longer Exists De Facto, Babken Tunyan
Member of Parliament Babken Tunyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Let’s fix one thing. Azerbaijan as an independent state no longer exists de facto. Instead, there exists a province called Azerbaijan under Turkey. And Turkey is utilizing the resources (human, territorial, positional, mineral, financial, and others) of this province through its proxy, the Aliyev regime, to solve its problems and achieve geopolitical goals.
As quickly as the people of Azerbaijan, including national minorities (Lezgins, Talysh, Tatars, and others), realize this, the better it will be for them. If they understand, they will realize that their country has been occupied without war, and that bargains are made at the cost of their lives. Perhaps they will also understand that they need to fight not against Armenians, but against their real occupiers.
They will also come to realize that they have entered a game where they are already sacrificial soldiers. The world understands this as well, but it continues to tolerate the spread of this cancer.
For us, there is no difference. We must place hope in ourselves because history has taught us that lesson. We fight for our spirit, our survival, our history, our culture, and our values. And we are doomed to victory from the very beginning. As Ararat Mirzoyan would say, this is not a propagandistic or motivational post. We simply have no other option."
