We Will Not Request a Ceasefire, This Must Be Known by All, We Must Impose a Ceasefire - Arayik Harutyunyan
The most intense battles are taking place in the north, in Talish, and towards the south. This was stated by the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, while speaking with volunteers who have arrived in Artsakh.
“They are coming with tanks, we shoot at them with whatever strength we have, they burn, and we don’t count how much equipment we have shot down, nor do we have the desire to count. We will shoot until they come to their senses,” he said, continuing that we all must realize that our country's future, the right of our generations to live on this land, and most importantly, our dignity, are at stake.
“I want you to be assured that we stand firm until the end. We will not request a ceasefire; this must be known by all, we must impose a ceasefire. If we request a ceasefire, it will be the end of Armenia, not Artsakh, because we are fighting not just against Azerbaijan, but against Turkey. Turkey is not interested in Artsakh, Jabrail, or Lachin; it is interested in all of Armenia in terms of implementing its pan-Turkism projects. We must understand that our future depends on our actions and our right to live, we must try to live,” he emphasized.
Arayik Harutyunyan also noted that when he called and spoke with the commander of the Haterk battalion, he asked about the situation and was informed that it seemed like a regular military exercise and that there was no panic: “I am being informed that they have attacked no less than a hundred times at every position. We have mostly pushed them back, everything is normal, there is a group here that we will push back too, they should leave. There is no panic, I ask how we can be helpful, and they say we are well-equipped for everything, the issue has been resolved in a very short time, all my commanders' reports are similar.”
