“Yesterday, the last 30 minutes of the Security Council meeting took place under the sound of car horns coming from Republic Square. After the meeting, I looked out the window and saw a large column of cars circling around the carpet of the Republic Square, including several buses. People with their heads out of the car windows were chanting something and waving flags. At first, I thought it was a wedding, but quickly realized that such a display of a wedding was unlikely these days. It turned out that this was a send-off for volunteers heading to the front lines.
