Approximately 60 Soldiers Lost and Significant Armored Vehicle Losses Reported: Hovhannisyan

Intense fighting has continued along the borders of Artsakh throughout the night. This was reported today by the Ministry of Defense representative, Arzrun Hovhannisyan.

“The adversary attempted new assaults, particularly in the southern and southeastern directions, under heavy fire from armored vehicles, drones, and artillery, suffering significant losses, with approximately 60 soldiers lost and a considerable number of armored vehicles reported destroyed. Currently, battles are ongoing.

I must mention that just yesterday, the territory of the Republic of Armenia was subjected to actions by the Azerbaijani armed forces, and especially today, Azerbaijani drones and air force delivered strikes in the Vardenis direction. Drones have also targeted civilian populations; we have just released materials showing how a civilian bus is burning. Air strikes have been directed at combat positions of the Armenian armed forces. At this time, we do not have losses in this direction, and as the Ministry of Defense stated, please expect a strong response. The situation is rapidly changing, and within minutes, new reports may emerge; soon, the Defense Army will also provide more detailed information regarding the night battles,” said Hovhannisyan.
