We are ready for compromise, however, this large-scale escalation brings a new situation. Mnatsakanyan
We have been and remain fully committed to the exclusively peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, for which there is an internationally accepted format with a mandate— the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, which includes France, the United States, and the Russian Federation, said Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in an interview with France 24.
“We are fully committed to this process— to resolving this conflict solely through peaceful means, and finding a solution, such an arrangement, which is exclusively based on compromise, a solution that is acceptable, as the Prime Minister of Armenia has stated, for the people of Armenia, the people of Artsakh, and the people of Azerbaijan,” he said.
According to Mnatsakanyan, unfortunately, we are facing Azerbaijan's exclusively maximalist position, which refuses to consider any views of the people and authorities of Artsakh, as well as the interests and concerns of the Armenian people.
“The maximalist approach has been and remains rejected. We are ready for compromise. However, this large-scale escalation brings a new situation that we are forced to confront,” he stated.
