Photos: Long Lines at the Blood Donation Center Since Early Morning

Long lines have formed at the Yolyan Blood Donation Center since early morning. The flow of people coming to donate blood continues unabated. As reported earlier, yesterday the Ministry of Health called for voluntary blood donations. Citizens responded immediately to the ministry's appeal.
Those who can be donors must:
- Be 18 years old or older
- Women must weigh at least 53 kg (5 days must have passed since their menstrual cycle)
- Men must weigh at least 63 kg
- Blood pressure must not be too high or too low, as determined by a doctor
- Pulse rate should be between 60-90 beats per minute
Individuals who cannot donate blood include those who:
- Have used certain medications (for example, antibiotics)
- Have experienced allergic reactions in the last two months
- Have a body temperature of 37°C or higher
- Have infectious diseases
- Have undergone surgery in the last six months, including artificial abortion
- Suffer from cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, or digestive system diseases, malignancies, blood disorders
- Have spent more than one month outside Armenia in the last six months
- Have received certain vaccinations, including pregnant and lactating women
Prior to donating blood:
- Do not consume fatty, fried, spicy, or smoked foods on the day of donation
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before donation
To donate blood, one must present a passport or military ID.
