Direct: Georgian Law Enforcement Prevents Javakhk Residents from Sending Humanitarian Aid to Armenia

WRed

The residents of Javakhk are attempting to transfer food and tire supplies to Artsakh, but Georgian law enforcement is not allowing them to deliver the collected humanitarian aid to the border and hand it over to the Armenian side.

Currently, a group of Javakhk residents has gathered near the exit of Ninotsminda city and intends to head to the Georgian-Armenian border of Ninotsminda. However, police have stopped them and are prohibiting their advance. The young people are negotiating with Georgian police, seeking permission to transfer the collected food, clothing, and other essential supplies, as well as tires, across the Armenian border for delivery to Artsakh.

The Georgian law enforcement is trying to convince the gathered youth that transferring the collected aid across the border requires permission from the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that this process takes time.
