Defense Army Conducts Several Brilliant Tactical Operations Overnight

The President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, has issued a statement in which he stated:

“Dear compatriots living in the Homeland and in the Diaspora, we have been intensively engaged in the wide-scale military operations unleashed by the Azerbaijani military-political leadership for the second consecutive day. Throughout the night, the Defense Army conducted several brilliant tactical operations, restoring lost positions or making certain advances in various sections of the defensive lines.

I am proud and grateful to our troops and command for their displayed high combat spirit and readiness. I am proud and grateful to our people for their composure during this time, for their dedication to everything for the sake of the Homeland and the front. I am proud and grateful to our compatriots and authorities in the Republic of Armenia for their unconditional support. I am proud and grateful for the thousands of calls and words of support from our compatriots around the world. My condolences and sympathies go to the families of all our brothers who have fallen heroically in this time. I am proud and grateful.

Dear compatriots, I once again appeal to all of you with unwavering faith and feeling for victory. It is impossible to defeat a nation that becomes a disciplined and united army within hours. Victory will belong to us.”

On the early morning of September 27, the Azerbaijani side, violating all possible international agreements and with the active support of the Turkish army, launched an attack along the entire line of contact with Artsakh, using all types of weaponry at its disposal, including air force. The Azerbaijani army also shelled the state border of the Republic of Armenia.

The Armenian armed forces, after fierce battles, have managed to thwart the enemy’s main objectives and continue to develop their successes to repel the aggressors.
