Car Goes Off Road and Overturns Near Spandaryan Village; 2 Dead
On September 27, at 18:15, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a traffic accident had occurred near Spandaryan village and assistance from rescuers was required.
A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle (driver: Grisha H., born 1944) had gone off the roadway and overturned, resulting in the deaths of the driver and passenger Areg H. (born 1951) at the scene.
Before the rescuers arrived, another passenger, Anna A. (born 2007), was hospitalized in Sisian city medical center, where doctors assessed her condition as stable.
The rescuers retrieved the bodies of Grisha H. and Areg H., disconnected the vehicle's battery, and closed the gas valve. With the help of rescuers and local forces, the vehicle was righted and prepared for towing.
