Boys Call at Night, Saying ‘Father, I’ve Been Taken, I’m Going to Artsakh’ – Father Abel Kartashyan
We stand as unyielding as the high position behind me, with unwavering will. This was stated by Father Abel Kartashyan, the priest of the village of Movses in the Tavush region, during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“All our heartfelt prayers are directed to the soldiers standing on the front lines, to all those who have the courage to defend the homeland. Yesterday, I said that when I saw the soldiers' dedication to the homeland, I realized that I am not as devoted to God. I give glory to all those boys who call at night, saying, ‘Father, I’ve been taken, I’m going to Artsakh.’ There were also those who were upset, saying, ‘Father, please don’t take me.’ This is an extraordinary thing; our people should show this kind of response. People, stay strong, everything is calm; the morning has opened well, everything is normal in Tavush. We are waiting for when I can enter a village down below, that village I will enter with a cross. The boys with weapons, I with a cross. Stay resolute,” he emphasized.
