Azerbaijan Has Been Preparing for Today's War for a Long Time, Months: President of Artsakh
In terms of positions, not much has changed on the front lines. Extensive military operations are occurring from Omar to Araks. The adversary's main directions have been to the south, including the Araks, Jabrail, and Fuzuli directions, as well as Talish, Mataghis, and Yeghnikner in the northeast. This was stated by the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, during a press briefing.
"After noon, they launched a large-scale attack yesterday supposedly in the direction of Mravi, but they have recorded no success. As yesterday, there were positional battles again in the direction of Omar today. Yesterday, the Azerbaijani leadership hastily claimed that they had supposedly captured several villages in the direction of Fuzuli, probably due to this they have used more than 50 if not more tanks and armored vehicles today," said the president.
He noted that the Armed Forces' units have destroyed dozens of military vehicles. "Azerbaijan has been preparing for today’s war for a long time, for months, to be able to damage our communication direction. The fact that Azerbaijan's lying, deceiving leadership claims that the Armenian side has launched an attack and that they have gone on the counter-offensive once again proves that we are dealing with a government that lies to the whole world," emphasized Harutyunyan.
On the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan, violating all possible international agreements, launched an offensive along the entire line of contact with Artsakh with the active support of the Turkish army, using all types of armaments at their disposal, including aerial forces. The Azerbaijani army also shelled the state border of the Republic of Armenia.
After fierce battles, the Armenian forces have been able to thwart the adversary's main objectives and continue to develop successes to push the enemy back.
As a result of Azerbaijan's actions, 31 soldiers were killed on September 27, and 27 soldiers on September 28. Due to strikes on the civilian population, two civilians were killed, one of whom was a 9-year-old girl. According to the latest data, the number of injured is close to 120.
