Grandmaster Levon Aronian wrote on his Twitter page: “When I was a young child, my grandfather told me that our ancestors are from Nagorno-Karabakh. I won my first serious tournament in the wonderful city of Stepanakert. We are a people who have always proudly defended ourselves, navigating through the crossroads of history. This time we will succeed again. I am confident.”
