The National Assembly to Hold an Extraordinary Session at 17:30

The President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has announced that an extraordinary session will be convened at 17:30. In a statement, he stated, ‘Dear members of the National Assembly, the government made a decision on September 27, 2020, to declare a state of martial law in the Republic of Armenia.’ According to Article 119, Part 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Article 47, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the National Assembly must be urgently convened in the event of the declaration of a state of martial law. I ask the members of Parliament to be present in the session hall of the National Assembly at 17:30,’ the parliamentary leader's statement reads.
