Henrikh Mkhitaryan: We have an inalienable right to live in our homeland without existential danger #ArstakhStrong

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, midfielder for the Armenian national team and Italian club AS Roma, has called on the international community to urgently assist in halting military operations in Artsakh.

“This morning, I woke up to learn about the large-scale offensive by the Azerbaijani army against Nagorno-Karabakh (a de facto independent state with a predominantly Armenian population). Civilian residents of Stepanakert and surrounding areas have been targeted. I urge the international community to stand up and help put an end to these military actions directed against the peace and security of the region. We have an inalienable right to live in our homeland without existential danger. Our children have the right to live in peaceful conditions, not to hide in shelters. I always stand with my nation #ArstakhStrong,” wrote Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Facebook.
