Azerbaijan's Parliament Approves Martial Law in Several Regions
The Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan (parliament) has adopted a resolution to impose martial law in several cities and regions of the country during an extraordinary session held today, according to the APA agency.
The statement reads, "The parliament has adopted a resolution on imposing martial law in several cities and regions of the country." The decision must be endorsed by the president within 48 hours.
MP Hikmet Babaoğlu informed APA that a curfew will be announced in the corresponding cities and regions. "The authority to declare a curfew has been transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic," he clarified.
