Survivor of Kharkiv An-26 Crash Tells Story of the Disaster

Vyacheslav Zolochievsky, a cadet who survived the crash of the An-26 in the Kharkiv region, shared details about the aircraft's destruction. This was reported by Suspilne, referencing Oleksiy Kucheri, the head of the Kharkiv regional administration.

The cadet described the incident as feeling “like a computer game.” He mentioned that he does not remember everything as he lost consciousness at a certain point.

“After regaining consciousness, he moved away from the wreckage of the plane, as we understand now, and started to extinguish the burning body of his colleague,” Kucheri said. He noted that Zolochievsky survived while remaining inside the aircraft and did not jump out.
