Sanitek Puts Garbage Trucks and Containers Up for Auction, Including 200 Damaged or Half-Filled Units

Sanitek International LLC, which has faced serious financial issues since last year and was the sole operator of waste collection in Yerevan, has decided to sell its movable property after the city hall terminated its contract. However, there are currently no buyers. The auction for movable property scheduled for September 22 did not take place due to a lack of bids, according to Armtimes.com.

Since it started neglecting city refuse collection for several days last year, the company has claimed it is at the brink of bankruptcy. According to Sanitek, the reasons include fines imposed by the Yerevan municipality and pressure from the State Revenue Committee. It’s noted that a criminal case has been initiated regarding significant unpaid taxes by the company. The SRC reports that Sanitek has failed to pay half a billion drams in taxes.

From the public notifications website of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, we learn that the auction includes garbage trucks whose operational status is unverified, yet their external technical condition appears satisfactory. Additionally, various sizes of trash containers without a warranty for usability are also offered for sale. The next auction date for Sanitek's property is set for October 8, with the starting price reduced by 10% from the previous auction.

The auction will take place in the following 10 lots:
Lot 1. Scania P250DB4X garbage collection truck, consisting of a truck, a water tank, and a sweeper, manufactured in 2014/2015. The external technical condition is satisfactory, but the operational state remains unverified. Market value: 13,727,120 AMD.
Lot 2. Scania P250DB4X garbage collection truck, manufactured in 2015. The external technical condition is satisfactory, but the operational state remains unverified. Market value: 13,870,610 AMD.
Lot 3. Scania P250DB4X garbage collection truck, manufactured in 2015, consisting of a truck, a water tank, and a cowsh. The external technical condition is satisfactory, but the operational state remains unverified. Market value: 14,683,714 AMD.
Lot 4. Scania P250DB4X garbage collection truck, consisting of a truck and a water tank, manufactured in 2014/2015. The external technical condition is satisfactory, but the operational state remains unverified. Market value: 13,487,972 AMD.
