Rescuers Release 108 Whales Back to Sea in Australia
In Australia, 108 whales that were rescued after being stranded in mud have been released back into the sea. According to a report from BBC, this comes after a mass stranding resulted in the death of 350 whales in the region.
The Tasmanian government confirmed in a statement that the 108 whales, which were saved from the blockage, have been freed. Wildlife biologist Dr. Chris Carlyon described it as a fantastic outcome achieved after five days of hard work by the rescue teams.
