Minibus Accident in Georgia's Kakheti Region Leaves 11 Injured
Eleven people, including a 4-year-old child, were injured as a result of a minibus accident in the Kvareli municipality (Kakheti region). This was reported by Georgia's Public Broadcasting.
The majority of the injured were seasonal workers in the vineyards. The minibus, which was transporting them for the harvest, went off the roadway and collided with a concrete fence before overturning. Passengers sustained varying degrees of physical injuries.
Emergency teams transported them to hospitals in two nearby district centers. Of the eight victims admitted to the Telavi hospital, two underwent surgery and are currently in the intensive care unit. Two more patients are scheduled for surgery on September 26.
As for the young child, he was transferred to a children's hospital in Tbilisi.
