Major Fire in Ptghunk Village: 10 Apartments Burned, Minister of Emergency Situations Present at the Scene

On September 24, at 18:08, the Armavir regional crisis management center received a report about a fire that broke out in one of the houses in Ptghunk village.

Two fire fighting crews from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, two fire fighting crews from the capital's rescue department, and an operational group from the firefighting and rescue operations organization department were dispatched to the scene with a complexity rating of "Level 2".

Following the complexity assessment, the fire was raised to "Level 3", leading to an additional crew from the regional rescue department as well as four more from the capital's fire brigade. Medical staff and psychologists from the psychological support department were also sent to the scene.

Fire extinguishing efforts included the involvement of one water truck each from the Vagharshapat municipal department and the Veolia Water company.

A total of 10 apartments were burned, two of which suffered partial damage. Approximately 1300 square meters of roofing was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Rescue workers also completed the evacuation of property. To ensure proper lighting, another fire crew from the regional rescue department was dispatched, along with a rescue team from the special operations division.

The fire was contained at 20:13 and fully extinguished by 23:57.

Present at the scene were the Minister of Emergency Situations, F. Tsolakyan; the Director of the Rescue Service, Major General V. Gabrielyan; and deputy directors, Colonel T. Petrosyan and Colonel A. Grigoryan.
