Import Duty Exemption for Certain Medical Products to Expire
The State Revenue Committee has announced that the exemption for the import of certain medical products without customs duties in the Eurasian Economic Union will come to an end.
"As previously stated by the SRC, in accordance with the decisions No. 21 dated March 16, 2020, and No. 34 dated April 3, 2020, as part of the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, from March 16, 2020, to September 30, 2020, products listed in a specific list will be exempt from customs duties if a customs declaration is registered under the 'Exemption for Internal Consumption' procedure," the message from the SRC reads.
The State Revenue Committee reminds that starting from October 1, 2020, the aforementioned decision will no longer be in effect, and the customs duty rates applicable on the day of registration of the declaration will be applied.
